Need Freeware program to delete duplicate lines from list

Can someone point me to a program that deletes duplicate line from plain
text files, I can't seem to find these programs on freeware sites, it
figures, I saw them several times when going through freeware sites but
never downloaded them. Now that I need a program I can't seem to find the
software on their sites. (I must be blind as a bat)

rpsort.com, an old dos program (18kB) is probably the best
sorting
program ever written. It is lightening fast (it can process 40,000
lines, discarding duplicate lines in less than one second), it can
sort according to several criteria, and do a whole range of useful
operations. You can find it at

It runs with no problems in a cmd console under w2k and win98.
