Need Cross Posting Help

F

I tried cross-posting by separating my newsgroups with commas - but it
didn't work. In the past, I also tried semi-colons - and they didn't
work either. I need help with Agent please.

Try an Agent newsgroup

Have you tried separating the newsgroup names with a comma and then a single
space?

Did you put a space after the comma or semicolon?

It's possible I didn't put a space after the punctuation. I'll try
again. Thanks.

You're welcome. Let us know if that works. It's been a while since I've used
Agent and I'm not sure about its rules.

Spaces should not be applied, only commas. A utility called Agent Hook made
crossposting easier in Agent up to version 2.0.

I would like to add that crossposting rarely makes you very popular on
Usenet. ;-)

Many people dislike crossposting. Mostly that's because crossposting is a
traditional tool of spammers. People have heard that crossposting is bad,
and they blindly repeat it without giving it any thought.

But there's nothing wrong with crossposting, asking a question in a few
related groups. It's only when crossposting is used to send messages to many
unrelated grouops that it's bad.

And crossposting is *always* better than multiposting--sending the same
message *separately* to more than one group.

Actually, in the Forte newsgroup, I was instructed NOT to use spaces.

I usually only use it on the windowsxp groups since it seems that
different people read the three different groups - and I get more
replies (answers).

Thanks, that's how I use crossposting.
