Need asistance on XP

Romulus

I am using WinXP Pro with SP2 upgrade and I was wondering
if there is a way to keep my "Use Fast User Switching" option enabled as I
always have to re-enabled this from the User Accounts option whenever I boot
up my pc. This all just started happening after the SP2 update. Can someone
help?

Thanks

Romulus,

Is the Terminal Services enabled? Make sure it's set to Automatic. Click
Start, Run and type Services.msc.

Thanks Ramesh for the suggestion but unfortunately, that did not help my
all. I did check my Terminal Services if it's enabled and it was but it
wasn't set to Automatic but instead, it was set to Manual. I then switched
it to Automatic and then rebooted. After rebooting, I'm back to the same
issue again as I have to go back to User Accounts to enable or check the
"Use Fast User Switching" again. Any more ideas?

Thanks

Romulus,

Do you have a AllowMultipleTSSessions value in this registry key? If so
delete that value.

[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system]

Click Start/Run and type REGEDIT to access Registry Editor.

Hi Ramesh,

Thanks again for the suggestion but unfortunately, I don't have
"AllowMultipleTSSessions" value in my registry. I really don't know what to
do and it's
really annoying. Please help?

Thanks Ramesh :)

Romulus,

Is the welcome screen enabled, or you're using Classic logon? If the Welcome
Screen is ON and still the problem persist, set a registry audit as
explained here: http://www.winxptutor.com/auditreg.htm Post back the Event
Log results.
