I believe it is a Works Database File.

Is there any specific version of works needed to use this file?

Its for my customers who i built that computer for... They have a customer database and need to access it.

The options availiable i think are:

Microsoft Works 8 OEM
Microsoft Works 8.5 OEM
Micorsoft Works Suite 2006 OEM

The third being about 5 times the price of the first two which are around £8.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Many thanks

Alternative...

This doesn't really answer your questions.... but I'm happy to have a go at converting this to an alternative data format - Just a thought.

Cheers

It could be an option... :)

What could you convert it to?

They have Office 2007 on their machine...

Mucks - been through that already, searched that before posting here.

You have to pay.

Figured would be better and more compatible to buy the program it came with.

Also - if it was to be converted, it would have to be in Office 2007 format - which they dont look like they do.

Ha! Its ok Mucks - i'm different to the rest of the youth ;)

OK - Cheap OEM works package it is - so i guess thats 8.5 for about 7 quid.

Do you have to buy hardware to qualify for an OEM? Might be a good excuse to get a new keyboard...

Whats the difference between Works 8.5 and Works Suite 2006 - anyone know?

Oops missed that post - sorry Kev

Ordered Works 8.5 for them. Turned up yesterday, should do what they need.

Thanks anyway
