Native Mode - Windows 95

I can't seem to find a Microsoft Article on Windows 2000
Native Mode support for NTLM Auth for downlevel clients
like Windows 95.

I believe the PDC Emulater stop replication of NTLM but
does it also stop NTLM auth?

Can a default build of Windows 95 logon to a Windows 2000
AD Native Mode domain? Or does it have to have the AD
client ext.

I also have other NAS devices which require NTLM auth v1
I believe. So I really need to know if native mode still
supports NTLM auth.

Thanks,
Tim

I'd toss a few thoughts out there:
1) I'm not a 9x guru (so someone please correct me if I'm off the mark) but
I don't believe that 9x clients use ntlm auth. I believe they use lm auth
unless you have the DS client loaded on them.
2) Either way, no matter what the domain functional level (2k mixed, 2k
native or 2k03) we still support lm, ntlm & ntlmv2 unless you proactively
turn some of these protocols off. You can do so via policy, but by default
we leave them enabled for you for downlevel compat.
