Hello,
I have been tring to reduce the number of broadcasts on
our network. We have a pure W2K network which I didn't
expect any NetBios broadcasts but I was wrong. So I
brought up a WINS server and that reduced the broadcasts.
However, it seems the client machines are sending the
following broadcast from time to time:
Name Query NB Computername<20>
I think this is the box advertising itself as a file
server? How wrong am I? How do I turn this sort of
broadcast off?
