I have 4 partitions: C & D on drive 1, and E and F on drive 2. E is a
copy of my 'system drive' C, made a year ago. I have not booted to it
for many months, and I rarely open it. So I'm very puzzled why an XP
search for recent files (Modified last 2 days) across my entire PC
found several hundred hits from E. All sorts of files used in C & D,
but certainly not in E appeared in folders like these:
E:\Recycled
E:\RECYCLER\NPROTECT
E:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-4065617495-2690133624-1694720459-1005
etc
How on earth can these files be sent to the E Recycle bin when I
haven't been near E please?
