Mysterious space hog

I have a partition reserved for automtic program bckups plus images and
backups that I am going to burn to DVD. It has 12.09 GB of space.
Currently it says that only 2.9GB are available, but I cannot find out what
is taking up nearly 9GB of space on that drive.

There are only 3 folders on that partition - they contain 20MB, 9MB, and 12
KB in something called Recyler which I don't understand at all. So how do I
find out what is occupying the rest of the space (I have cleaned up
temporary files, etc.and hidden files and folders are displayed).

There's no problem on the other partitions, though each of the except C has
a folder called Recycler.
