My Word 03 is so slow, any ideas on how to speed up?

My microsoft word 2003 is slow it is driving me crazy! I have added 517mb of
memory thinking that may help but it hasn't. It is not only me it is
everyones computer at my office and one of the guys installed another gig of
memory in his computer and still no luck. There is nothing worse than having
to wait for word to catch up eith my typing or selecting! Please help!!!!!!!

Do you have voice recognition (transcription) turned on? Are you on a
network that recently had changes made to the server?

I don't think I do , but how do I check to be positive? We upgraded from
server 200o to 2003 and i upgraded office from 02 to 03. I appreciate the
help Charles!!

What happens if you log off the network? My guess is that Word speeds up a
lot!
