My taskbar disappeared

The taskbar on my windows xp was set to disappear when not in use. Today I
went into the msconfig.exe, then clicked the startup tab. I unchecked some
boxes, restarted the computer, after it booted back up I placed a check mark
in the System Configuration Utility promp and then clicked the OK button.
Thinking
everything was ok. Now my taskbar, at the bottom, has disappeared and unable
to use the start button. SO ........ Now what should I do to correct thais
problem?
Reformatting is not a good ideal for me at this time. Any ideals?????

Thank You for any help.

Hi Dan,

The unchecked boxes will still be listed. Before re-checking them, please
post the names and paths of them here. Or export these two keys and send
them to me via email:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg
