My Pictures

Photos I save in My Pictures are now automatically going into their own
folder. I don't want them in a folder- just saved individually. ??
Thanks

How are you saving your pictures?

Are you using another software program to save your pictures?

Hi my name is Kaja and I would like to try and help you with this issue. I
am pretty sure this is what is happening to you. XP has default or a folder
it always saves certain file types to such as documents, pictures, etc. So
when you save a picture if you look at it it should tell you the location of
where it is saving it. Now you should see an option that says browse or
browse folders. Click on that and that should give you a choice of where you
want to save a picture like the desktop or within a folder. Also bear in
mind if any kind of file you want is not where you want it you can copy it or
completely move it. Say you have a picture in the my pictures folder and you
want a copy of it on your desktop. Right click and select copy then go to
your desktop right click and selcect paste. There you go. Now if you want
to move it completely right click and select cut and then where you want to
place it right click and select paste and it will dissapear from the first
location. I myself have a ton of pictures and I like to organize them so I
make folders and subfolders such as Alex's wedding and then perhaps a folder
called Alex inside of that. This is easy just right click and select new and
new folder. You will see a blank folder appear and the title will be blue.
Nmae it and there you go. Now if you want a sub folder within that folder
open the folder and do the same thing. I hope this is helpful. Let me know
so I can improve my services. One more piece of advice always backup those
photos. They are usually irreplaceable.
Best Regards,
Kaja

"Saved" means written as a file to the hard drive.
Except for the root directories (C:\, D:\ etc.) all
parts of the hard drives are folders (including the
desktop, which is c:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Desktop.)
