My Pictures files not in desktop list

I downloaded a group of 12 pictures (.jpg) from the net. Out of the 12 there
are 3 of them, that when i put them in My Pictures the entire contents of My
Pictures is not available in the display/desktop background list. If i
remove them from My Pictures the list becomes complete again. I scanned the
pictures (Norton, AVG, spy-bot, ad-aware) and still have the same problem.
It is not a big deal, but seems odd that these 3 pics would cause the entire
folder (My Pictures) to not be visible. Any ideas? I've seen lots of
postings to get rid of extra pictures ppl don't want (that is easy). Have
never had the problem where the folder is missing in the desktop list due to
an addition of more pictures. Thx Dave

It appears the problem is that i have more than 100 pictures in My Pictures
folder causing desktop list to fail to recognize the folder. Dave
