My Personal 'Ultimate' Photo Story...

P

PapaJohn

Here's the link to the first draft.... a 9 min. 10 second story about
Florence.

http://www.papajohn.org/video/Florence.wmv

It's widescreen at 852x480 pixels... with close to 300 pictures... including
a bunch of them for the video-like segment that starts at the 1-1/2 minute
point.

It's complex enough that it wouldn't render on my XP laptop, so I had to do
it in Vista with it's better memory management.

Hi PJ
The pictures are coming across perfectly but the sound is dreadful, too much
background noise interference.
We were in Florence in 2004 and it brought back some nice memories.

Look forward to seeing the finished show.
The only thing wrong with Florence is the number of tourists.

dropped most of the tourist noise... yup, much more crowded then our
previous visits.... same thing at Rome and Venice

That's much better...

I know you are not asking for my opinion
but I don't think the music adds anything
to the presentation. Personally I would
much prefer to hear your personal narration
of the trip.

thanks John.... by putting anything out there to the public, it's open for
comments... and if anyone's opinion is appreciated, it's yours.

I mentioned the subject of narration to Bernadette, who was the other half
of the group... and she didn't like the idea. She had also commented on the
'too much' crowd and other background noise, and loves it just with the
music.

On the post, the video stands alone, but from the website page I'll wrap the
link in some information text.

Though I would enjoy your narration...
I think I can understand your wife's
preference. One thing is for sure...it's
a very nice slideshow with some
awesome images.

Thanks for sharing.

thanks John... I just added some intro text to the link on the website
page... the link is the big picture on

http://www.papajohn.org/Florence.html

for info, the segment with the boats on the river that is quasi-video....
but is just a bunch of still pix in the story... is interesting to me in
that it plays fine from a file download service like my 1&1 website, but
that part goes to blackness when coming from the mydeo streaming service.
The reasons for it makes a good study case for this week's newsletter.

Same result.

Maybe I wasn't clear...the link in
the message works but clicking
the picture is where I get the error.
