My New Radeon 9800 Pro Won't stay @ AGP 8X

I have a Asus A7N8x Deluxe Motherboard.
XP 2200+
512MB 3200 Corsair
400W PSU
There are no issues with my psu, what could it be?

my Ti 4200 was not at 8X...bad install of Unified Drivers...re-installed and
there it was...
XP SP1 was the OS

How do you know there are no problems with your power supply?


Just because it is *rated* at 400 watts doesn't always tell the whole story.


What brand is it and what are the amperage ratings on the +12 vdc, +5 vdc,
and +3.3 vdc output lines?

12v is at 12.4 // 3.3v is at 3.3 // 5v is at 4.865 with a 400W Enermax PSU
