Hi,
I have tried everything altering the monitor you name it but if I move the
cursor right or down my cursor disappears from the screen, this is a problem
when playing the sims as the mouse is needed, but even on the desktop the
mouse disappears from the screen if I move it up or left its fine but not
down or right.

I have never had this problem before, I have checked the video card updated
direct X checked everything I can think of.

Please help this is getting a bit frustrating now.

If it's an optical mouse, then make sure the surface you're using it on
is not a shiny/reflective surface. The cardboard back from a pad of
paper works well or try a cloth mousepad.

Now here is an additional symptom, I run two monitors. Two nights ago, teh
cursor would disappear over my primary monitor screen, and when I would slide
left over to my secondary monitor, ...well there is would sit, pretty as you
please. Then last night, all of the above again and this time, it would
appear on my main monitor and disappear over my secondary.

Plus, when I am in the actually game, there is a cursor/pointer represented
by the cross hairs of the pointer. It actually appears, along with a cursor
pointer for selecting in game actions, such as spawn points. But in other
aspects of the game. like the server page, nothing appears.

Now when I go to the Control Panel and click on Mouse Settings, I can go to
the "Pointer Options" tab and go to the bottom and click on "Show location of
pointer when O press the CTRL key". With this checked, atleast when I lose my
cursor pointer, I can hit CTRL and a ping will occur on the screen indicating
where the cursor is located, both in game and out of game on my normal desk
top.

One last note, I did lose the pointer while in another application besides
the game. And I experienced the same symptoms as I experienced in the game.

I am at a lose, except that it did not happen until I loaded the BF2. There
has got to be an answer some where, if you have a clue as to what is
happening, you would be spreading some very good karma!!!!

Any ideas would be greatly apprecited!
