hard drive crashed a couple weeks ago... still trying to re-adjust the
settings and chase ghosts... i think im on the last one... FINALLY!!...

i have my screen settings set at 1024x768... when i move my cursor to the
left side of the screen, instead of stopping it keeps going "off the
screen"... when i move my mouse back to the right and try to retrieve it, it
takes a couple strokes to get it to re-appear... in contrast, if i try to
move my cursor off the right side of the screen, it stops on the edge like
it is supposed to...

hold on.. it gets weirder...

i wanted to take a snap shot of a website... so i pressed PRINT SCREEN then
went to PaintShopPro and tried to PASTE the snapshot into the program as a
jpg... when i did, it pasted a picture that is 2048x768 displaying the
website i wanted on the right PLUS my desktop picture on the left... this
explains where my cursor has been running of to...

but why??... and how do i fix it?...

all my drivers have been updated and i have no conflicts with my graphix
card...

Sounds like you are using a virtual desktop manager (VDM) that uses the
mouse to switch between virtual desktops. Could be you installed the
VDM or it was part of the video card's installation software (and you
picked to install everything rather than just the driver, even features
you didn't understand).
