Depending on the video card manufacturer installed into your machine there
may be differing ways to rotate your display. Try this one (NVidia) - Right
click on blank area of desktop. Click Nvidia control panel. Under Rotate
display select the proper display setting.
For other display manufacturers they also will have some way in their driver
settings to change the display. Some use key stroke combinations to change
the display.
For at least some thinkpads, the magic combination is (ctrl + alt) and an
arrow key. Whichever direction the arrow is pointing will become the "top"
of the rotated screen.
Makes for an easy practical joke...
