My computer had to be taken in for an overhaul and the teenager made himself
the administrator. He has blocked access to his files etc.
How do I get access to his account and put myself back as the administrator
so he can't access my stuff. I know he's been up to no good.
Any help is appreciated. thnx.

If you're the parent, tell him to set you up as an administrator, too.
If he refuses, take the computer and give it to a friend to keep for
you until the kid gives in. If you feel he's up to no good,
discontinue your internet access. That should take care of problems
with the kid.

Your kid is more PC savvey than you, you are fighting a loosing battle, if
he has access to the PC when you are not there.

Log on using the built-in Administrator Account. (As you don't tell us what
flavour of XP you have, in Home Edition boot into Safe Mode, in Pro at the
welcome screen press Ctl-Alt-Del twice). Then change your account to admin,
change his to limited, and set a STRONG password on both the built-in
Administrator Account and your Admin account.
