My highlighting pen icon disappeared from outlook toolbar

Windows XP crashed and to rid myself of the blue screen of death I had to
dump all my info and reload XP. I sucessfully reinstalled Outlook but now
with service pak 2 a bunch of settings have changed. I no longer have the
little pen that used to highlight words in my email. I have searched
everywhere and all I find is changing type colors. Can anyone help with where
I might find the highlightring icon again?

The highlighting button appears when you use Word as the email editor in
Outlook.
