My Form doesn't function

B

Its frustrating and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am an
amature, and I have looked through the forums and didn't find exactly my
problem.

Goal: create a survey website to rank pictures, Idealy I would like to have
the data saved to a form on the website and go to my e-mail... so I can look
at it in, say, excel.

What I tried: I tried to set it up to have the form send results to e-mail.
I made the whole form. I created a confirmation page and connected it to my
sumit button, I set the form to send results to my e-mail address. When I
test it, and fill out the form and click submit... it doesnt go to the
confimation page, it says "FTP ERROR" and some other stuff.. and nothing goes
to my e-mail.

I tried to troubleshoot, but I can't find anything the discusses my problem.
Any help? Thanks

"Connected it [confirmation page] to my sumit[sic] button" - that sounds
wrong. The confirmation page should be "connected" either through the
page properties (if using FP extensions) or through the action attribute
in the <form> tag.

Please give a link to the page.

Yeah, Im sorry, right click proporties then all that stuff. but i went to the
part that you can put a confirmation page... a tab in properties.. and im
testing it on a live site, but im not leaving it up because Its a known site
and I don't want it to be available and non functioning. any idea whats the
deal? it shouldn't be this hard to make a form... its gotta be something im
overlooking right?

Without seeing the page it will not be possible to answer.

Copy the form page, give the copy a sensible name but do not include it
in any link bars or navigation, then publish the copy together with the
confirmation page. Post back here with a link, or use the contact form
on my website (below) to tell me where the page is - though the more
eyes in this forum that see it the better. Seeing the code on the
server will enable some diagnosis without guesswork.
