My Documents opening on startup

I have WinXP Home Edition.
when I startup "my documents" windows opens up.

How can I prevent this from occurring everytime
I bootup.

sorry no luck and no find.

HI

Look in the startup folder and see if My Documents is in
there. If so, remove it

In Windows XP, check startup folder [c:\windows\start
menu\programs\startup in win9x] or [C:\Documents and
Settings\USERNAMEHERE\Start Menu\Programs\Startup in XP.]
If nothing is in there then go to start->run->type
msconfig and then go to startup and see if the doc's are
starting up in there....

Hi Ian,

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon.

In the right pane under Userinit, Change the key that reads:

C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe,C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe

To: C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe,

/xp_tweaks.htm
