My Documents icon in My Computer has disappeared

Hello,

Since yesterday the "My Documents" icon in "My Computer" has disappeared. I
can still use the "My Documents" shortcut on the Desktop and the one in
"Other Places" and all the files are still there. Just one icon (the one I
used all the time) is gone.

The problem is common to all users of the machine (well, three) apart from
the Administrator. If I log in as Administrator (I usually work as an
unprivileged user) I can see all the users' "My Documents" shortcuts in the
"My Computer" window.

I obviously checked the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DocFolderPaths
key and all the user names and correct paths are there. Explorer simply
doesn't seem to use them. I tried to delete and re-create them but it didn't
help at all.

Additionally, I noticed another strangeness: the "Shared Documents" folder
is now simply called "Documents"... Could the two problems be related?

Any hint will be greatly appreciated: this is getting personal! I've been
struggling to solve this trivial problem since yesterday evening.

Thanks a lot,
Roberto
