After going through windows update and installing various updates, the my documents and my network places link in my computer do not work
They worked fine before the updates

has anybody else had this problem

it is with windows 2000 pro sr4, I am not sure of the updates that where istalled, but it was through windows update.

I'm pretty sure that this is an unusual problem, and not something that SP4
is likely to cause. When you write "in my computer", do you mean in
Explorer?

When you write that they "do not work", what exactly do you mean? Do you get
nothing? Do you get an Explorer Window? Is there anything in the Explorer
Window? My Network Places should at least indicate a workgroup. I can see My
Documents being empty. Can you create a new document in the window, either
by right-clicking or from the File pull down menu, and choosing New, and
then a document type?

when i mean they do not work, i click on them and nothing happens.. oh wait the colour of the link will change from blue to purple but it will not actually open up the folder

This is not a major problem, but it has happened to every computer we have put through windows updates! maybe i have to wait for the windows update update fix to come out
