My Documents and my Local Disk thinks they're music folders...

I don't know why this happened, but my friend told them it's happened to them
before so I assume it's a bug in XP's folder setting system.
For normal folder, you can choose customize them into "Music Albums" "Photo
Albums" "General Documents" and all these different type of folders. The sad
thing is XP adjust these folders property dynamically despite what I set them
to (so if it thinks Folder X should be a music album instead of a photo album
it'll do that for me).
So here's the problem, My Documents, which is considered a system folder and
cannot be customized, and even the Local Disk (C:\, where program files and
windows are located) were changed to being "Music Folders". So basically now
I can only sort icons based on "Year" "Artist" and stuff like that. Not to
mention that annoying huge music symbol that lurks in the background.
I tried system restoring to days where I know these were still normal but it
did not work.
Anyone know about this problem and how to fix it?

In addition to David & Wes:

Keith Miller has a script that can fix the problem. Download
"TaskPaneFix.zip" attachment from this newsgroup posting:

I need to tighten that script up. It needs to be run from the desktop or a shortcut...doesn't work
right if launched when any explorer windows are open :)
