My Computer properties

I am the administrator of my desktop and laptop both of which are running XP
prof SP2. On my desktop I can alt click on My Computer and I see System
Properties with seven tabs but on my laptop there are only two tabs General
and Shortcut. How can I make this the same as my desktop?

Right-click on the Desktop and click "Properties"
Select the "Desktop" tab, and click "Customize Desktop"
Place a checkmark near "My Computer"
Click OK, OK to close the dialog boxes

The "My Computer" namespace icon should now appear on your desktop. You may then delete the existing "My Computer" icon (which is a shortcut actually)

That's because the "My computer" icon on your laptop is a shotcut!!
You can delete this shotcut a ad a original icoon from the properties
menu of your desktop. Select tab 'Desktop" There you will see a butten
"Costumize desktop" There you can check to display your Computer icoon
on the desktop.!

Good luck!
