My computer is possessed by a poltergeist

Hi, my computer is doing some really weird things. Programs are opening up on
their own (Outlook and calculator, notepad documents). This happens even when
I am not online. Sometimes right-click menus appear and several times my
ocomputer has either gone into standby or shut down. I have done a full virus
scan (with updates) and also spyware scan. I have deleted 10GB of data and I
have defraged. I have archives my outlook emails. I have tried several system
restores and have gone baCk a whole month but it makes no difference. Well, I
guess I ran out of ideas. Anyone know what this might be? Thanks, James

Restart in Safe mode, run the av and spyware scanners from there.
