On the Bug scale I would say that it is in favor of Linux but it is close. See link on the bottom

Hmmm. I would say that Linux has just as many if not more. Here is a few just from the last 2 weeks.

As far as exploits with Linux Distros there is much more that with MS. Just go through the 108 pages of them.

On the other hand, there is a vast majority (like me) who appreciate MVP's
effort and good will.
Please don't listen to the minority and keep up with your excellent word.
Like Don Quijote said to Sancho in the famous spanish novel of Cervantes.
"They are barking, Sancho. It's a sign that we are riding".
Don't know if that translates the real meaning into English but keep riding,
Colin!

How long have you worked on getting your printer and fax working on
Ubuntu? How long did it take you to get them working on Windows?

Not relevant. Most modem faxes are not compatible with Linux because,
well, they're made for Windows. Same is true for printers without a lot
of configuration which I am not up to and I need a new printer anyway.
When I buy the appropriate hardware, installing it is a breeze.

Your lame attempt to indirectly denigrate the messenger rather than
addressing the message is noted.

Why bother. Most of you linux loser guys eventually end up shooting
yourself in the foot then wonder why you're hobbled.
Frank

I guess that's what you did when you tried to install linux, you did
something moronic to shoot yourself in the foot and screw up the
installation. But most the rest of us had no problems installing linux.
I guess noone else is as special as you, Cranky Frank.

Two months and he still can't use it effectively!

As alias stated, he is taking his time. I loaded Ubuntu in a virtual
machine last night, took a few minutes to tweak and such this morning,
and I've been using it all day to post amongst other things. Obviously
the transition can be made quickly and easily for most people, but
clearly it is beyond some of the windows fan bois here.

Alias doesn't have Vista.. he has XP on two computers and Linux on his own..

You don't even know what a ellipse is suppose to look like (...) or
it's proper use, which again confirms your only purpose in this
newsgroup seems to serve as unwilling fly paper.

http://www.grammarbook.com/punctuation/ellipse.asp

You attract comments due to your excessive self-important pompous
pontificating, often on topics you obviously know little if anything
about. Damn, that's what I call entertainment. Only problem is you
don't realize you're one of the clown providing the entertainment.

If Microsoft really cared about order in these so-called support
groups they would strip you of your MVP label since you always try
hard to be the poster boy for rude conduct and smug answers, which
flys in the face of what these support groups were originally set up
for; to HELP Microsoft's customers, not be a stage for windbags way
too full of themselves pretending they know what they don't.

Well then nuts to all you guys! I don't need to spend any more of my
time trying to help jerks who make blanket statements about people who
give hundreds of hours a month for no renumeration simply because they
like seeing other users have a pleasant experience with Windows. I am
absolutely furious about both the tone and content of this thread and
embarrassed for the lot of you. If this is the direction this ng has
gone since my illness I feel sorry for all of you.

I agree that there seems to be far too much of the misdirected and
ill-advised blanket accusations/statements that are prevalent in this
group. Civility seems to be a lost art for some when disagreements arise
or opinions differ. Painting with a broad brush really does a great
disservice to those caught unfairly in the brush stroke.
