Mustek BearPaw 1200CU scanner...

The hardware driver installs without any complaints. I can see the scanner
in device manager and all looks well.

I try to install the TWAIN control panel component and the installer
complains that the OS is not supported. I'm sure that if the installer
hadn't checked the OS version that it would have installed and worked
normally.

Is there any way I can convince the installer that I'm running XP instead of
Vista? I've already tried all the compatibility modes and running as an
administrator.

Is there some way I can find out what files the TWAIN installer puts on my
XP machine and simply copy them across?

Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone know of any software that can show track what changes an
installer makes to a system?

You'd start the watchdog, then run the installer, then generate a report of
changes from the watchdog software?
