Running XP SP2 on a desktop PC. After mistakenly using Explorer to
copy wma files to my new portable device, I realized the copy
protection scheme was probably the reason I couldn't play the music I
bought using Musicmatch.
So I fired up Musicmatch, but it wouldn't recognize my portable
device. So I went to Add/Remove programs, and tried to uninstall
Musicmatch. It hung up; only way out was End Task using Task Manager.
Tried again, same thing. Downloaded another copy of Musicmatch 10,
tried to install; hung up; End Task only way out.
That's where I am. Musicmatch won't work, won't uninstall, and is
preventing reinstallation. Thank god for Task Manager's "End Task"
function. All the wma music I bought is still on my drive.
Two questions:
1. How can I get rid of Musicmatch?
2. Will Windows Media Player let me copy my wma files to my portable
device so that I can play them from the device?
Thanks,
Steve
