music folder icon sorting difficulties

Why is it that in folders considered to be 'music' folders, meaning there is
enough music to change the "arrange icons by" submenu to include things such
as "artist" or "album title," that you cannot arrange the icons by date
modified as well? It is mildly frustrating, and wouldn't be that difficult to
change.

Change the folder to a Documents folder.

Open the folder
Click View menu, Choose Details
Put a checkmark near "Date Modified"

Now, the "Arrange Icons by" section should have "Modified" entry
