Music CD plus film

I have been given a free CD advertising a film. I can listen to the music
ok, but I cannot get the film to work. I also had this problem on a CD I
purchased ages ago. How to I get the film to work? Even tried it on my DVD
player - again, music ok but no film.

Try VLC player. It is free.

Still no go? If you can list down the files in the CD, we may be able to
help you better since we don't know what structure or files are in the CD.

Hello,

Also try this:

Go to Start > My Computer > Right-Click your CD drive > Explore

A window should open. If there are folders labelled 'video' or something
like that, open the folder and there should be your video files there for
you to play in Media Player or VLC.

Because it's a CD-ROM and not a DVD it's most likely that it's a codec
problem.

the Your best bet is to download and install the [free] XP Codec Pack.
