Multiple Problems with XP Home IE 6

Kim

I'm being bombarded with pop-up adds, programs are being
downloaded to my desktop top without my knowledge, I don't
know how to get rid of them. Every time I open IE a error
message comes up and it shuts down. When I try to open
HPSupport McAfee says it's a suspicious script. I did a
virus scan it came up clean, I tried repeatedly to do a
system restore but it kept stating the date or restore
point I chose was no good. I only have a few months left
on my warrenty and I'm compleatly at a loss for whats
happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
