Multimedia Keyboard and KVM Switch Not Working

I just bought a new MS Multimedia Natural Keyboard but can't seem to
get it to work w/ my 2-port KVM switch. It uses the double-tap Scroll
Lock + Up/Down Arrow (1 or 2) to switch between ports. For some
reason, the switch isn't recognizing the scroll-lock or the keyboard
isn't sending the normal codes. I have a very old MS natural keyboard
(not multimedia) and it works fine there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Sorry, nevermind, I'm such a dork! It works now. I've spend a couple
of hours trying to figure it out, then, of a sudden, it's switching
again. I have no idea what I did.

The KVM may not directly support the enhanced features of a keyboard or
mouse. However, when you do get it to work and then you loose it, you can
get it to work by a few methods. These all involve resetting the
keyboard/mouse ports on the KVM:

1) Switch to another "channel" and switch back.
2) Preform a KVM soft reset (usually a KVM switch combo -- refer to KVM
documentation)
3) Shutdown everything, including all connected PCs, and restart the KVM
switch. Then, start up all your PCs.

I have seen problems like this and from experience follow the info below:

1) Never connect the keyboard to the KVM when the KVM is powered on.
2) Never connect a PC to the KVM when the KVM is powered on or the PC is
powered on.

You can blow the motherboard or the KVM if either one is powered on and you
try to connect something together.
