Multiboot problem!

S

sanam

Hi guys,

I have Windows 2000 Advanced Server in my laptop. I thought of having
multiboot, and started installing Windows XP professional in the
unpartitioned space of 16GB and started formating that 16gb as C:\(My
total hard sidk is 80GB out of which, I had 60 GB with data on Windows
2000 Server). But in the middle of the installation, I got "Data Cyclic
Redundancy error" and I was not able to proceed the installation of XP.
So, when I tried to reboot the system, it is starting with XP(without
multiboot option of Win 2000 Server) and asking me to complete the
installation of XP.

When I tried to boot with Windows 2000 Advanced server cd, it is
showing 60 gb of my hard disk as "unknown partition" and other drives
as C:\ with xp installation.

So, please help me how to get my system working back as before with
Windows 2000 without loosing my data.

Thanks in advance,

Sree

You'll need to provide the partition and drive scheme that exists before and
after this attempt. Also what operating systems are installed to what
partition and what partition is the active system partition.
