Hi everybody, ok, here's my configuration:
Pentium 4 2.67 GHz
768MB RAM
Silicon Image 0680 ATA/133 Controller
I have four hard drives, a DVD-ROM, and a DVD-RW configured as follows, with
a separate OS installation on each hard drive:
Primary Master - WinXP Home
Primary Slave - WinXP Professional
Secondary Master - DVD-ROM
Secondary Slave - DVD-RW
Silicon Image Controller:
Primary Master - Fedora Linux
Primary Slave - Windows 2003 Server
I'm trying to configure boot.ini so that it can accomodate all the OS's I
have in my box, but to no avail. Here's my boot.ini as it stands now:
[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
signature(1cdd1a4a)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003,
Standard" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home
Edition" /fastdetect /bootlog
I have tweaked g-d knows how many times the Windows Server 2003 entry, but
it will not boot. The XP Home and XP Professional boot just fine, though.
I haven't even bothered with Fedora Linux yet, but I was wondering if it can
be booted through boot.ini.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Clint Maxwell
