I am starting my own business of fixing and upgrading PC's. I have a request
from a customer who wants XP Professional installed onto a laptop...I dont
have a multi-license for XP so I was wondering approximately that might cost
me?

You can't sell him one copy of a Volume license purchase. You will
likely need to provide him with a retail FPP copy/license.

You have to install a SINGLE-USER copy on each computer you work on
and must buy that, or use what the customer supplies.

There is no other way.

As far as I know, to repair / upgrade PCs, you are required to be able
to sell / recommend / quote operating systems.

XP is limited as Microsoft has stopped "selling" it retail. You may
find some "left-over" stock.

BTW: Laptops now might not have drivers of XP anymore.
