msspc.ecf could not be installed.

I can not open my Outlook. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still get
this error.

"The extension configuration file "C:\Program Files\ Microsoft
Office\Office11\Addins\msspc.ecf" could not be installed. There is an error
in the syntax or formate of the file."

Please help

does that file exist in that location?

did you try deleting extend.dat?

Hi Diane,

The msspc.ecf file still exists in that location.

I tried to do a search for the extend.dat file and couldn't locate it in my
computer.

does that file exist in that location?

did you try deleting extend.dat?
