MSOC.dll Outlook 2003 load problem.

Hi,
I have installed Office 2003 Pro (with Lotus Domino connector) then removed
it because it didn't work, then added just Office without the Lotus connector
and I get the following message:
"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. An unexpected error has
occurred. MAPI was unable to load the information service MSOC.DLL. Be sure
the service is correctly installed and configured."

Aside from removing ALL of Office then adding it and repatching it (which is
where I'm at now) what can I do to get Outlook to work???

I have had this version of Outlook with this version Lotus working before
(last week), but I can't even get Outlook to remain open to configure
anything.

HELP, I don't want to have to use that nasty Notes client.

TIA,
Hamish.

.
Choose Detect and Repair from the Help drop down menu. Have
your CD ready. Don't get in a hurry, it takes a while.

Thanks for the tip Chuck, but Outlook won't stay open.

I've just found that MSMAPI still thought that the Lotus connector was
installed, so after a little tweaking the Control Panel it's all happy again.

I have the same problem and I've removed the Lotus Connector in Add or
Remove Programs but I'm still getting the same errors you got when I try and
open Outlook.

What exactly did you do in control panel?

Thanks

What I Did

I had the same problem and went into control panel and selected "MAIL". From there I created a new account for default and removed the MSMAPI account item
