MSO Small Busines 2007 / PPT sound clips won't play

I have MSO Small Business 2007. I am attempting to insert sound from clipart
choices, into a Power Point 2007 project. I verify the sound by right
clicking on the chosen sound and go into Preview/Properties, and I hear the
sound.

I insert it and see the little speaker in the slide but it doesn't play. I
have tried numerous sounds with no success. What am I doing wrong?

Copy the clipart sound into the folder with your presentation, then insert
it. I suspect the path length to where it's housed in the Temporary Internet
Files folder is too long. Besides, once the TIF gets emptied, the sound
won't play anyway because it will no longer exist.

Well, which format is your music? We often insert sound from Sound
choice.

1. Click insert -> sound -> sound from file. Select the music you want
to insert.
2. In the succeeding dialog box which say “How do you want the sound
to start in the slide show, please select "Automatically".
