I have vista RC2 and want to know why I can not install my msn premium. Does
anyone have some answers for me?

Although MSN Premium is not supported yet, I installed in the normal manner.
I had to change the MSN.exe to WinXPSP2 compatibility mode to get it to run
which it is because I am browsing on it right now on VIsta RC1. It will give
an error message when it closes each time, but that is a way to get it to
run for now.

I am running Vista Home Premium. I tried changing to WinXPSP2 compatibility,
but got the same message as before. Which is - Error creating process
<msvc.exe/Q:A> - Reason Access Denied. I talked with a tech online last
night, but they could not come up with a solution. Any other suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

I can,t run MSN Premium (Bell Sympatico version). They're giving me a 3
month credit while they get a new version out. Meanwhile, I'm using Windows
Mail. It's basic, but I have to admit it works.

The only issue is that we cannot connect to web-based email like Hotmail
from Windows Mail.

Try the MSN discussion group, microsoft.public.msn.discussion. Microsoft
has been saying that MSN Premium works just fine under Vista, and apparently
they have it installed on several employees' computers just to show how
great it works. According to postings in microsoft.public.msn.discussion it
is a crap shoot. 50% of the time it works great, but the other 50% it takes
out your whole system.

My experience with Vista Home Premium is that it took out the whole system.
On Vista Business it would make Windows report a critical error and reboot
within two minutes of startup. On Ultimate it is working just great. I
don't know whether it has anything to do with these versions, or some other
factor unknown to me.

The page cited above is the page I have always installed it from, including
on Home Premium when it took out the whole system...

I have an HP 64 bit laptop and my MSN Premium installed easy and have had no
trouble with it at all.

Like I said in the MSN discussion group it looks like 50% are happy with
installing MSN on their Vista computers. After I reinstalled it a couple
times it worked great too. ;^)
