MSN Display Picture / Personal Message not saved after log-off

Hi all, I noticed this problem on my Live Messenger (v8.0.0812.00)
since installing for two months:

after i logged off and restarted my comp, neither my backgrounds nor my
DP would not be saved. my personal message would also be changed back
to the one i was using in v7.5 before i switched to v8.0...

the option that says, "This is a shared computer so don't store my
address book, display picture or personal message on it" has already
been unchecked.

is there anything i should do? registry problem?

This seems to be happening to a lot of users. Does anyone have a fix? I am
still having the same problem.
