MSN attachment virus !

Hello,

I've noticed (at http://www.gadgetdetective.com/)
quite a few messages fr_om people in the October 2006 forum (which from
tomorrow will be viewable only in their site's "Archived" section) seeking
help about a trojan (that they don't seem to have identified) which they
contracted while using MSN, from_ an attachment called: "its u on the
photo".

I found that the trojan may possibly be identified in the following_ forum

seems i hav contracted a virus in msn wile opening a bogus image file ...
avg has detected a virus .. Trojan horse PSW.Generic2.IJS .. it also picked
up an infection .. "Downloader.Tibs" ... but doesnt seem to b able to fix or
remove
any help would be greatly appreciated

I also found that the infection seems to possibly have been successfully
removed as shown in a message at:

If anyone has further or indeed better, information about this new trojan
threat, it may help others.

The most recent Trojans of this type are named Win32.Hackarmy (AKA
Troj/Loony) and Win32.Licat.

If you're infected with one of these rootkits, your best bet is to format &
reinstall Windows.
