Per Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 308549:
History Information is provided by WMI, and is stored in
the Extensible Markup Language (XML) data files located
in Windows\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Datacoll
My DataColl folder is empty (no .xml history files)
Event log service, Windows Management Instrumentation
service and Remote Procedure Call (RPC) services are all
running. Even tried re-installing msinfo32.inf
Does anyone have any thoughts on what else could be
preventing the creation of History Information?? Any
details on what event(s) trigger the creation of the .xml
history files?
