msg: not using the most recent browser version

D

Deb W.

Lately I have been getting a lot of messages like/or
similar to this: "You are viewing this version because
you are not using the most recent version of your browser
or your browser is in beta. Please try to update to the
most recent version". I also seem to be getting more 500
errors etc.

When I click on HELP - About Internet Explorer it says
IE6 Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 also says
update version SP1 and a wholebunch of Q numbers

Any help to what is wrong would be appreciated.

Version looks ok.

Determining Which Version of Internet Explorer You Are Using
All versions of Internet Explorer 5 that are customized with Microsoft
Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) include one of the following
strings after the version number when you click About on the Help menu:
IC = Internet Content Provider
IS = Internet Service Provider
CO = Corporate Administrator

Try a repair:
Add/Remove programs/MS/IE repair.

also,
Make sure that some aspect of IE is not blocked by a FireWall or some
security software.

I checked my Norton antivirus and firewall doesn't seem
to be anything that would be blocking IE6. When I went to
Add/Remove programs I do not have listed MS/IE.. is there
ant other way to do a repair??
