MSDSS problem

Phil

I've installed the Microsoft Directory Synchronization Services (MSDSS)
connector on one of our domain controllers. This is to synchronize Novell's
NDS with Microsoft's Active Director.

I chose the "two way synchronization" option, enter the AD container,
domain controller. Enter the NDS container. Enter the Novell adminstrator
user name and password. Then I get this message:

Windows cannot authenticate to NDS://Tree_Name/O=Context_Name with the
supplied credentials: The network path was not found.

I am entering the Novell server supervisor user name and password. I've
also tried the domain admin user name and password with no success. Any
ideas? Thanks.

Might I ask what version of Netware you are running? I
am looking at using MSDSS with Win2k and Netware 6.0.

thanks

Version 5.1. I did manage to get this to work. However, with 500+ users
and several connectors needed to map everything, I decided it just
wansn't worth the hassle. All I wanted it for was to synch passwords.
