msconfig question

Greg

Hi,

I recently looked at my System Configuration Utility (msconfig)/Startup, and
found that 2 of the areas under "Startup Item" an "Command" were blank. The
location is HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, but again,
there is no name or command for the startup item. What are these? Can I
disable? Should I delete?

Thanks!

Greg

What likely happened is that a program was uninstalled, and the
uninstallation process did not completely remove the program's startup entry
in the registry. The blank entry is not harming your computer in any way or
affecting its performance. If you're feeling brave and confident, you can go
into the registry and delete that subkey.

HI Gred....you can disable it first and reboot yr pc if all start up normally
then you can delete the sub keys .
