Hello dstubb,

I don't use that .dll, so I would recommend you use the Search For: box, and
enter MSVCP80.dll to get the lates news or advance in each NG.
I hope this post is helpful, let us know how it works ºut.

Hi,

I notice you are asking for MSVCP80.DLL, are you sure this is what are you
looking for?

Thanks! When I went to the link provided, it presented me with numerous sites
to visit. Is there a specific site you were directing me to?

The best current advice for this issue is:

delete c:\program files\windows defender\MSASCui.exe.manifest

I'm not certain what you need to do after that--whether, say, a repair
install is needed--try it and let me know what happens--I'm chicken (and
time constrained!)

OK - I think that it is quite possible that my advice is still valid, but
like Engel, I was expecting you to be talking about MSVCR80.dll.

I'd still stick with that advice and see whether it clears the issue.

By following your directions (delete c:\program files\windows
defender\MSASCui.exe.manifest), WD is once again running on my PC, thanks!
