That was before the update. I attempted to prove that there might be a
command-line way to update, without success. However, I did succeed in
breaking the update facility, such that I got the infamous "unable to
connect to the Internet."

And, I fixed it: Start, control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft
Antispyware, change, update.

Then I did the update in the usual way, and it updated to 5697.

5697? 5766 just downloaded via Auto Updates here. Maybe
it's the fresh Canadian air. ;-)

As a matter of fact, Mike, I just manually updated to those same
Definitions, "5697" - MSAS has a habit of giving you the same updates
more than once...

Ah, that crisp Montreal night air :)

You've got me beat--I only made it to 5733. Do another manual update, and
the number will drop back to where it is supposed to be. Your air can't be
any fresher than Randy Knobloch's??

I updated to 5697 yesterday. Today autoupdate gave me 5695. I tried a manual
and was told I had the latest ???
