ms04-028 patch

I run IE6 sp1 with the latest cumulative patch on a Win2k
pro sp4 box.

Regarding the latest MS security patch that deals with the
jpeg vulnerablity....I downloaded and ran the GDI detector
tool and it said my system was fine. However, I can find
no details on whether or not that includes IE. IE is not
on the affected products list of the 873374 article that
details the detection tool.

Can anyone tell me for sure if this tool also scans IE for
the vulnerability?

Thanks, I read that, but it makes no sense to me why they
would create a tool to test some of the affected
components, but not all.

I was hoping the tool would test for IE as well as Office
and the .net stuff.
