I'm having other problems with this version, which I'd appreciate knowing how
to solve.

1) How can I change the font attributes (e.g. if it is automatically double
spacing when I never asked it to do so). There used to be a box in the left
hand corner right next to the Font name box -- I can't find such a tool
anywhere. Going up to Format>Font only allows me to change the font, it's
size, whether it's bold or italics or regular and the special effects.

2) How can I make a different color background just for one word or
sentence. In the old days the font background color icon was right next to
the font color icon in the toolbar. Now if I go to FORMAT>BORDERS AND
SHADING I can only highlight the paragraph or the whole page.

Am I wrong in thinking that this version is much less user friendly?
